Happy Halloween!

This year Halloween was so great. It was so fun to see the excitement in his face as he said, "tick treat" and was rewarded with candy.
We decided to all be cowboys this year. We had most of the things we needed to accomplish it but I did make both Stephen and Will's vests and my skirt.

My favorite thing about this picture is Will's stance in his boots, he looks SO awesome!
The toughest men in the west!
I made my skirt out of old jeans. I should have taken a picture of the back, it has a bustle. It wasn't planned but it looked awesome!
Will has gotten to the age of silly smiles. It's so tricky to get him to smile genuinely. It's ok, I love his silly smiles!
P.S. This is the backyard of our new place, really pretty, right?
I couldn't get Will to say trick or treat the whole day. But as soon as we went to the first house and Stephen said, "trick or treat," and Will saw that the reward was candy, it clicked, He was a, "tick treat," master.
While we were trick or treating Will saw a spider-man and he got so excited. He kept running after him, calling out "hi spider-man. hi spider-man. spider-man, stop."
We only trick or treated for an hour or so but Will got a healthy amount of candy, well, unhealthy really. He had a death grip on his candy bucket so we let him keep it while we drove home. When we got home we discovered that he had removed the wrapper and chomped down a sucker to nothing. He doesn't waste any time.

Family Pictures

A few weekends ago my amazing sister-in-law, Bri, took some family pictures for us. I'm in love with them!
The first 2 are ones that I took with our tripod, on the side of the road, the weekend before...yeah, not so much.

We went up the canyon to take advantages of the fall leaves. It was a beautiful day!

Which one do you like the best?

Today One of Will's Dreams Came True...

Today one of Will's dreams came true, we went on a train.
As a birthday present for Will, I bought tickets to go on the Heber Valley Railroad. Right now they are having their Pumpkin Festival so we even got to throw in one of Will's other favorite things, pumpkins!

This picture says it all. Pure happiness!
Will would not let the pumpkins go. He had to keep his hands on it at all times!
Getting ready to decorate our pumpkins with stickers.
 The finished pumpkins.
The main event, the TRAINS! I love my boys!
 Looking at the tracks.
 Will's ready for his ride!

At this point we had just started moving, I love the awe on his face.

While we were on our train ride there was a little show, Will LOVED it!

This is a normal Will face.
 My boys being silly!
We saw some cows and sheep out our window.
 My favorite view.
As a finisher they gave us pumpkin cookies. Will ate his and mine.
I asked Will to share, this was his answer.
Sunset at the Heber Valley Railroad.
Stephen and I thought that Will would call the trains by Thomas names but when we saw the first train Stephen said, "Will, look, it's Emily." and Will replied, "No Emly, no face." Well, there you go.
But as we came up to this train, Will immediately exclaimed, "SALTY!" When I asked him why this was Salty, he said, "He has eyes." It's amazing what little kids pick up on.
Here you can see Salty's "eyes."
It was a lot of great memories. I'm really glad we did it!

Stephen's 30!

This year was Stephen's 30th birthday! He really didn't want to make a huge deal over it so we made his favorite meal, Philly cheese steaks, at home and had red velvet cake.
It may sound lame to you but we had a great time. We rarely get to cook together and we had a blast!
I love this man SO much!

My 2 Year Old

Will has been 2 for a few weeks now and I realized that I never documented what he's up to.
He LOVES trains, all trains, all the time!
He says goodnight to every single one of his trains before he goes to bed.
He still loves cars.
His favorite toy are his "tracks" or train tracks and his trains.
He also really loves his Lightning McQueen cars.
He loves to build things with his blocks. He's gotten his towers up pretty high.
He also LOVES to color. He has recently been asking me to draw pictures of things so he can color them in.
He knows the colors, green, orange, blue, brown, and purple.
He can count to 6 all by himself and 10 if someone is helping him.
He can recognize almost all of the letters of the alphabet, "w" or "double" still being his favorite.
He is obsessed with bikes, especially motorcycles.
He asks for a bike almost every day. My mom has one for him in San Diego we just have to get it here.
He loves to read books, mostly Cat in the Hat and Big Red Barn.
He can not wait for Stephen to get home from school or work. He likes to push the blinds aside every few minutes to check and see if Stephen's coming or not.
When Stephen finally does get home from school, Will insists on taking off his jacket and socks.
He actually keeps his arms folded for an entire prayer, sometimes he even shuts his eyes.
When he runs he like he's running through tires, like those guys do at football practice.
He talks and talks and talks! I love that he and I can actually have conversations and he really expresses his own opinion on things.
He still lets me hug and kiss him as much as I want. I cherish those hugs and kisses because I know that soon he won't be so keen on them.
His favorite food is "chicken-broccoli." Those words always go together, whether or not he is actually eating both or just one.
He also loves green grapes and apples.
His answer to most questions is "no, I not" or "of course."
Some of his other favorite words and phrases are, "listen," "oh no, somebody in trouble (from Wonderpets)," "go see ducks," "tumble," "what are you DOING," "I play," and "I so funny."
His word for help is "hell." Sometimes I get dirty looks from other mothers but whatever.
He thinks ducks say, "crap, crap."
He thinks it is really funny to pretend to "tumble," and that is one of his favorite words.
He loves being tickled, but what kid doesn't.
He finally learned to give kisses. Before if you asked for kisses he would give you his cheek so you could give him kisses.
He loves puppies.
He loves "ba-TIME!" or bath time. He gets really excited whenever he sees a bath tub and yells, "ba-TIME!"
He takes one 2-3 hour nap a day.
He loves his "blanks", or blankets.
 His 2 year old stats:
Height: 39 in.  ~ 100 %tile
Weight: 32 lbs. ~ 78th %tile
He's in size 4 clothes.
He's wearing size 9 shoes.
He wears size 5 diapers but they are starting to take on the whole "bikini" look so we may need to move up a size soon.
I love my 2 year old!

Will got some bath crayons for his birthday. I swear he would stay in the bath all day if I let him.
